 Planning Day is the first step to a successful, community-built playground project. During Planning Day, a Learning Structures playground designer will amaze your children and playground committee with an enjoyable presentation of playground possibilities - and engage them in sharing their own ideas through pictures. The key emphasis for Planning Day is to generate maximum community interest and participation in the project planning and construction. The following important tasks are accomplished on Planning Day: |

A fun presentation will lead to brainstorming with the children of your community. They are the Play Experts and their ideas are the foundation of the playground design. |

Meeting with the staff of your school, church or recreation department to discuss their ideas for the playground. You know how your children play - and what they love to do in their play environments. |

Learning Structures will performing a site assessment so that the playground plan takes advantage of natural site features. A treefort around a tree? An embankment slide built into the hill? Anything is possible! |

Meet with the playground committee to review organizational concepts and site information. |

Develop and present a preliminary cost estimate. |

Orchestrate an evening presentation for the community to bring many viewpoints and creative ideas into focus. A great opportunity to answer questions, raise awareness of the project, and get the community excited! |
