After 35 years of working with over 600 communities, Learning Structures is able to predict total professional time and expenses accurately enough to quote a fixed, all-inclusive fee. To assist with planning, we provide you and your committee with organizational manuals for each aspect of the community-built process. These manuals will include: fund raising, public relations, obtaining materials and tools, soliciting and organizing volunteers, and post construction maintenance.
Following the US CPSC Guidelines and ASTM playground safety guidelines, we insure physical development is considered, social and cognitive skills are enhanced, group play activity is encouraged and imagination is fostered in every one of our playground designs. Communities procure many of their building materials locally with discounts and donations - substantially reducing their overall material costs.
The playground is built in only a couple of days - in the spirit of an Old Fashioned Barn Raising. Volunteers are united as Learning Structures supervises all aspects of the construction including a thorough final safety inspection of the playground assuring that all safety guidelines are met.
